If you want to run with us: www.DASHforDetection.com - Join The Colleen Claffey Memorial Run. June 8th Montrose Harbor 8AM.

This will be my eighth year raising money for the Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. My wife Colleen was just diagnosed after many months of missed diagnoses from four different hospitals. I thought we would be early in her diagnosis because we were so diligent visiting the best hospitals including the Mayo Clinic.

After over 80 nights in the hospital and countless procedures including the Whipple Surgery, Colleen passed away 7 years ago at the age of 53. The Claffey and Davern Families have never forgotten the complete helplessness we all experienced watching her slip away. Our family and friends have raised over $200K helping others fight this disease.

Pancreatic Cancer is the third leading cause of all Cancer deaths. More people die from Pancreatic Cancer than Breast or Prostate Cancer. It's also one of the least funded because it's still considered a rare cancer. We still need your help.

The Dash for Detection is the best 5K in Chicago. Period. It takes place at Montrose Beach on June 8th. Over 1000 others will be there with you. You won't be lonely. You will probably know a lot of people there. You might even beat one of them. If you can't make it, please consider donating to help our cause.

Love the Claffey and Davern Family- Team Colleen Forever

About Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation
In 1999, a community effort to honor Michael Rolfe began in a Highland Park living room. From those humble beginnings, it has blossomed into the impactful Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. Today, our devotion to our families remains paramount. Through our patient support program, funding early detection research, and raising awareness about Pancreatic Cancer risk factors and symptoms, we aim to make a difference for everyone affected by this disease.

Our hands-on approach ensures no one has to face Pancreatic Cancer alone.

We provide personal, tailored support to patients, survivors, and loved ones in crisis, genuinely taking the time to understand the experiences of our community. It's not just a process; it's a heartfelt commitment that allows us to connect each individual and family with the medical experts and personalized resources that perfectly suit their unique situations. It's about more than just assistance; it's about caring for our community like family.
